Kristine Tumanyan (1992)
The abstract line drawings by Kristine Tumanyan start with a first line. A pure, honest line that is only influenced by her own feeling. That is the basis of every drawing. Following your intuition, not being afraid to make choices, depicting emotions on paper, and the feeling of freedom makes this drawing process meditative and the end result surprising.
Kristine Tumanyan was born in Armenia, studied at art school in Russia, and graduated at the Art Academy in Maastricht in 2015. 'Meditative line art' is a style the artist has developed as a daily ritual for creative expression, following her intuition and the search for freedom.

WINE INK
collection 2023
Abstract line artworks by Kristine Tumanyan are mainly made with black Indian ink, but this collection is a beautiful exception.
Inspired by a picturesque wine cellar in the heart of Roermond and the discovery of red wine ink, this vibrant collection was created within a few weeks. Each drawing is unique and made on a rough watercolor paper.
In addition to the final piece the making of an artwork is a special meditative process.
